Hero
Since I was a child, Superman has always had a special place in my heart as one of my all-time favorite superheroes. When I saw his iconic “S” symbol for the first time, I used to think that the “S” represented “Sharma”! I would wear the “S” t-shirt, believing that I had some powers inside me to help others, just like Superman.
We are all a hero in one way or another. Some of us have unique talents that we are applying in the workforce, while others are finding ways to deal with their day-to-day challenges. As Christopher Reeves said, “A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles."
Heroes can be found everywhere, if we observe carefully. They can be:
- managing Zoom calls while making sure that their kids are on track for school,
- providing online fitness classes so that everyone's physical and mental healths stay intact,
- sharing uplifting quotes to others to inspire them to remain positive,
- waving to their loved ones from the window as they patiently wait for the day they can hug them in person.
Honor the heroes around you, and most importantly, the one that is within you!
